Governor says 117 patients have been discharged in Lagos
TEN more patients, two Indians, a Philipino and seven others were tioday discharged from the Lagos State Isolation Centres, the Incident Commander Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has said.
This is even as the governor said a total of 117 patients have so far been sucessfully managed and discharged from the state’s Isolation Centres.
Giving further demographics of the discharged patients, the governor said the patients are three females and seven males, including three foreign nationals, two Indians and one Philipino.
They were discharged from the Yaba and Onikan centres to reunite with the families, Sanwo-Olu said.
“The patients, three from Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba and the remaining seven, from Onikan Isolation Centre, were discharged having fully recovered and tested negative for #COVID-19 in two test consecutive readings,” the governor said.
“What this shows is that as the number of confirmed cases rise, we are also maintaining a significant discharge rate of our active cases which unequivocally shows that our medical interventions and management of the cases are working.
“While I am encouraged by the support we have received so far from the good citizens of the State in the battle against #COVID19, I urge you all not to relent, keep faith with us trusting that this war is a must win.
