Organising Committee Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Governor Umaru Fintiri Friday, said 3,600 delegates are expected to vote during the October 30th People’s Democratic Party National Convention.
This was expressed in a statement by his press secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, Governor Fintiri said the convention will adopt open secret balloting during the process.
He also announced that positions being contested for have been streamlined with only three still being negotiated.
Fintiri noted that the Appeals Committee has upheld the disqualification of those earlier declared ineligible and used the opportunity to commend the National Working Committee of the party for bringing the party to where it is today.
Speaking on the incoming executive, Governor Fintiri noted that Dr Iyorchia Ayu, the consensus Chairman, has the capacity to turn around the PDP and lead the party to victory in 2023, describing him as an intellectual and strategist.
