A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Engr Muritala Salau Audu has declared his poise to bolster the youth support base across the country for the standard Presidential flag bearer of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu describing his emergence as well deserved.
Engr Muritala in a chat with sunrise.ng over the weekend notes that it is essential for APC after its recent successful national convention, to close ranks and forge a formidable front against the opposition ahead of 2023 general election.
Confidently expressing optimism of Tinubu’s overwhelming success at the 2023 general election,Engr Muritala state his resolve to collapse the APC youth support groups across the country in his care for the ABAT 2023 project, so that the largest party in the African soil (APC) can continue to provide qualitative services to the people of Nigeria beyond 2023.
“While pledging my unbridled loyalty to your mandate (HE Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu) as freely given to you by our great party APC, I hereby congratulate you in advance as the next President Federal Republic of Nigeria”.
According to the Ogun APC Chieftain (Engr Muritala),the leadership of the party now more than ever need reconcile all the blocs of interests that exists prior the convention with an attempt of healing all wounds sustained in the course of the convention politicking.
Engr Muritala counseled that: “President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, the National Chairman Senator Abdullahi Adamu and other national leaders of APC should quickly swing into action, set up a reconciliation committee charged with the responsibility of healing the injured and amend the cracks, provide political compensations where possible.
“These and many more should be done so that our party can go out as a united front and return home with victory in 2023.”
While congratulating the party’s Presidential candidate-Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (ABAT), Muritala hinges his eventual victory at the national convention and special presidential primaries in Abuja, on his unmatched selfless devotion to the party’s course over the years, the recognition of which made many aspirants stepped down for him at the peak of contest.
“Asiwaju coast home with a landslide victory having polled the majority of votes cast by delegates- 1271 votes in all, It was really a Tinubu convention which was characterized by unprecedented supports from major Presidential aspirants that stepped down in Tinubu’s favour at the peak of the convention.
“Asiwaju Tinubu’s tenacity and virile contributions over the years to the advancement of democracy in Nigeria stand him out amongst him contemporaries, this paved way for him as proofed by the results of the Presidential primaries.
“Having emerged as our party’s standard bearer, this is the time to rally round Asiwaju Tinubu irrespective of our individual pre-convention preferences.
“Good enough, Asiwaju is a leader with stellar qualities that is maketable and acceptable to the Nigerian people, his intimidating experiences will be harnessed in building a prosperous Nigeria”, Engr Muritala Audu said.
