Senator Rochas Okoracha, a serial aspirant in the nation’s presidential election, who declared interest to contest again in the 2023 election has been talking about why he is hitting the soap box again.

He said Nigeria is looking for that single person who can bring back the sense of oneness and solve the niggling issues of economic crisis and insecurity.

He spoke on Tuesday, during an interview on Morning Show on Arise News.

Okorocha who would be running for presidency for the third time said he intends to contribute to the growth of Nigeria and believes he has what he takes to lead the country.

Reacting to the EFCC charge only on Monday, Okorocha said he has suffered so much humiliation and hatred. He said he has not been served any allegation and he thought coming on the day he declared his ambition as political intimidation.

He said EFCC is being used to rubbish his image, adding that he has two pending judgements against the same EFCC that has continued to ask judges in its cases to recuse itself.

He clarified that he was infact richer than the Imo State Government and that even the Nigerian State is owing him so much.

He said for his eight years in office, he never took any security vote, never fed his family from state coffers and never bought any new car either for himself or his aides. On his source of wealth and properties, he said Nigerians should verify his status from his files at the Code of Conduct Bureau.

He said his source of wealth is not hidden, started by selling fleet vehicles, running the Rochas Foundation with over 20,000 students who are now graduates in diverse fields of endeavours.

He said to bring him down, the imo State government has employed 39 persons whose main jobs is to write everything negative about him, and has opened over 5000 social media accounts just to pull him down.

He said his creation of many offices such as Ministry of Happiness and Special Adviser on Domestic Affairs are part of his ways of thinking outside the box in governing the state. He said one other thing that was created and not even reported was Volunteerism, where retired workers were given the opportunity to teach the youths thereby putting an end to how they make use of their energies even at old age.

He traced his political crisis to his roots. He said the governor have his issues and just hated him just for the fun of it. He said he is running for the office to correct this and give room for equity, fairness and justice.
