It appears that the Ogun State helmsman, Prince Dapo Abiodun is not finding the statement made by the All Progressives Congress (APC), presidential aspirant/former Governor of Lagos State and National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu amusing.
On a his Instagram page on Friday, Abiodun stated that he was not an emperor and the governorship of the state was not his inheritance.
Abiodun wrote: “I am not an emperor by any chance and this is not my family inheritance.
“I am holding this position in trust for all the people of this state and I have vowed to be fair, just and equitable and this is the solemn agreement I made between the Almighty God and myself.”
During Tinubu”s consultation visit to delegates in Abeokuta, Ogun State, yesterday, in a viral video cited on by our correspondent, Tinubu said in Yoruba: ” Mo ti sin won fun odun to po. Eleyi to joko si eyin mi, Dapo, she ti o ba si emi, she o le je Gomina?” which loosely translates to: “I’ve been serving them for decades now, now I want to serve too. This is about mental capacity. Dapo that is sitting behind me, can he become Governor on his own without my support?”.
Although the APC presidential primaries is slated for the weekend, aspirants are on a last minute push to emerge as the APC Presidential candidate.
