2nd Niger Bridge now 91% completed, says Fashola

The 1.6km Second Niger Bridge, which is scheduled to be inaugurated in September this year is about 91 percent completed, the Minister of Works and Housing Babatunde Fashola has said.

Speaking in his Abuja office, Fashola said the bridge is already providing direct jobs to over 800 people and is being built at the cost of about N206 billion.

He expressed happiness that the work has progressed steadily and from the about 86 percent state it was when he paid a visit to the site penultimate week, work can now be said the be at 91percent completion.

Fashola said the legacy project, would no doubt change the narrative of the commitment of government.
