The Ogun State Government through the Ogun State Housing corporation says it will soon commence the construction of third phase of Prince Court Housing Estate, Kemta Idi-Aba, in Abeokuta, the state capital, in order to boost the economy and provide employment for the teeming youths.
This is contained in a statement by the General Manager, Ogun State Housing Corporation (OGSHC), Estate Surveyor and Valuer, Wale Ojo, and made available to newsmen by his Press Officer, Mistura Oshileye, in his office Oke-Mosan Abeokuta.
He said that the housing scheme in the state generally had in no small measure contributed to the economic growth and social well-being of the state and the nation at large.
He noted that the project had already provided 5,000 jobs for the unemployed youths in the State through direct labor, especially on the construction site, thus putting food on their tables.
“The highest employment of labor currently is construction industry, in terms of provision of employment and getting people off the road, we have done in excess of 5,000, providing employment for people of Ogun State and getting them busy”, the GM said
He therefore urged the masses to have maximum confidence in the present government, saying this administration has the mercy of the masses at heart and will put in possible efforts to ensure that a good number of people in the state possess houses of their own through its affordable housing scheme.
ESV ojo added that the corporation also has in its budget approval for this year to develop high duplexes and terrace building in Ota , similarly site and services scheme at BOFT GARDENS on Abeokuta/Lagos road.
