77 year-old man hangs self in market at Yaba

One of the notes left behind by Pastor

SUNRISE NEWS, Lagos, July 23, 2020 A 77 year old man hanged himself at the Kayode Market, Abule-Ijesha, Yaba market.

The dead man also left a note disclosing the names of those who might have led him to take his life.

The man, who is fondly called Pastor by neighbours, friends and market colleagues, hanged himself outside the market shortly after pasting short notes on the walls and shops in the market.

The incident, left many people shocked and many are raising questions.

SunriseNews gathered that the deceased left written note on the market walls as it reads: “For your information: Osuma and Bourney. Two of them kill me. A killar must surely die”.

Further investigations shows that Pastor, who is above 77yrs, has no children, no wife and family members were unknown to those who knew him, as he has no family members to trace.

We also gathered that the man who is a pool agent, hung himself on the fan in his shop with a torn cloth.

On the arrival of the Nigerian Police and some government officials removed the corpse, advised the people to be careful on how they go about their lives, stating that nothing is too precious than life and people should stop taking laws into their hands as suicide is not the best option.

Before the copse was removed, one of the suspects called Osuma who is 80 years denied any involvement in the fate that befell the dead man. He however admitted that the dead man is his friend.
