Abiodun to coronate First King in Irete-Ijebu

The first Onirete of Irete-Ijebu

The Ogun State Government says it is set to  present staff of office to HRH Oba Abdul-Ganiyu Awokoya Yesufu as the first Onirete of Irete-Ijebu, in Odogbolu Local Government Area of the State.

According to the Coronation Planning Committee, the Coronation event will take place on Saturday 2nd October, 2021 at the Open Field of Tai Solarin College of Education,  lrete-Ijebu starting from 10am.

The Coronation Programme Coordinator, Prince Saheed Dosumu revealed that being the first of its kind in the history of the town, all hands will be on deck to ensure successful event which is billed to attract high powered dignitaries across all walks of lives.

Prince Dosumu further remarked that the new dawn  would undoubtedly spur monumental development towards the town in all ramifications.

He thereafter expressed profound gratitude to the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for his gracious approval of the installation and coronation, thereby restoring the glory and pride of the town. 

The Coronation Programme Coordinator appreciated the State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Afolabi Afuape and his team at the Ministry, stating that they were wonderfully appreciated.

Dosumu also expressed sufficient gratitude to the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, HRM Oba (Dr) Sikiru Kayode Adetona, the Ogbagba II for endorsing the stool of Onirete of Irete-Ijebu for the Governor’s approval.

In the same vein, he thanked the Dagburewe of Idowa, Oba Yinusa Adekoya and all Ijebu Obas for the supports rendered to the actualisation of the Onirete stool. 

The event coordinator congratulated Kabiyesi on his ascension to the throne of his forefathers and prayed that Kabiyesi reign would usher in more peace, tranquility and unprecedented development to the town.
