A prominent community leader and Justice of the Peace, Adeleke Albert Odunuga, will mark his 70th birthday on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.
Odunuga, hails from Odogbolu, in Ijebu, Ogun State, is a retired public servant who left the service of the Lagos State Civil Service after 35 years of service in 2010.
An alumna of the Obafemi Awolowo University as well as the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON), Topo, Badagry, Lagos. Born to Mr. Gabriel Adeneye Odunuga and Mrs. Dorcas Adeola Odunuga, on March 27, 1954, at No 53 Cemetery Street, Ebute-Metta, Lagos. He had his formative years in Zaria, and Kafanchan, where his father, a Nigerian Railway Corporation worker had been transferred and returned to Lagos to further his secondary education.
After his retirement, Odunuga was appointed a customary court judge by the Lagos State Judiciary Service Commission between 2018 and 2023, during which period he served in various customary courts and other judiciary institutions within the commission. He is presently a visiting customary court judge to various courts in the state.
He is married to Deaconess Iyabode Alake Odunuga, (Nee Adeniji) and the marriage contracted 41 years ago is blessed with four children and many grandchildren.
