Aeroland’s campaign train storms Badagry, flays FG on Border closure, other anti people policy

Deacon Segun Adewale the Lagos West Senatorial candidate of Peoples Democratic Party in furtherance of his electioneering campaigns ahead of the fast approaching February 25th general elections, has vowed to influence the reversal of certain governmental policies, directly hampering the peoples economic means of sustenance around the Badagry borderline of the state if elected Senator.
Adewale popularly called Aeroland took a swipe on the APC led federal government’s protracted border closure and stiff stance of on siting of petrol filling stations 20km to the border.
The PDP senatorial candidate while speaking during his campaign tour around Badagry Local Government Area, maintained that the border closure has brought untold hardship on the peoples means of livelihood, as the main aim of the government allegedly targeted at tackling corrupt tendencies like smuggling continues unabated.

He berated government’s restriction on siting of petrol filling stations 20km to the border, noting that the policy has paralysed economic activities in the ancient town and it’s adjoining communities, posing adverse consequences on trading activities, which remain the main stay of Badagry peoples economic strength.

Furthermore, Aeroland lampooned the government for failing to address corruption within its ranks noting that: “over N100 trillion has been stolen from the economy by the inept Government of APC.

“The policy had brought harsh realities on Badagry area, let alone the abject infrastructural neglect it had suffered in hands of successive governments.
“This will be cardinal for me and also a matter of priority once elected Senator, I will frantically pursue the re-opening of the border and the reversal of the policy on siting of petrol station close to borders.

“Imagine how APC government neglected this ancient town due to the Monarch’s (Oba Akran) open handedness and refusal to align with them against all odds. I commend the monarch for his forthrightness and integrity despite the APC’s misrule and intimidation.” Said Aeroland.

In the course of the campaign tour, Aeroland also offered scholarships to some indigent students in the community. While promising to facilitate employment for many residents and indigenes of the town when elected, some individuals were also promised plots of land as well as making accessible interest free loans to market women in the axis.
