Bullion Records CEO, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, commenced his highly-anticipated UK tour with a spectacular entrance on December 20, 2023.
The influential figure, recently honored as “Man of the Year” by the Oodua Progressive Media, extends his impact beyond music to media and Nigerian politics, earning titles like the “Golden Son of Yoruba Land” and “Most Proactive Area Commander.”
Ajadi’s arrival in the UK garnered warm enthusiasm from fans, marking the beginning of a musical journey accompanied by broadcasting luminary Mr. Kenny Ogungbe, CEO of Kennis 104.1 FM and TV, and rising Juju musician Otunba Femi Fadipe, known as ‘Femolancaster.’
The chief host, Alhaji AJ Ademola Otolowo, a UK-based music promotion executive, joins the venture, aiming to bring Nigerian artists to the UK in collaboration with Ajadi and Ogungbe, fostering global recognition for Nigeria’s music industry.
Ben TV, led by CEO Mr. Allister Soyode, has organized musical shows to spotlight Ajadi’s stay, including an event on December 22, featuring performances from renowned and upcoming Nigerian artists.
Looking ahead, plans are underway for a future musical extravaganza at the O2 Arena, a collaboration between Bullion Records, Kennis Music, 100% Entertainment Venture, and Ben TV. This landmark event aims to showcase Nigeria’s diverse music industry on the international stage.
During an interview with Ben TV, Kenny Ogungbe revealed that Kennis Music is set to mark its 25th-anniversary milestone in 2024. Reflecting on the evolution of Afrobeats, he credited pioneers like Junior and Pretty, Remedies, and Platashun Boyz, as well as present-day artists like Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Davido for shaping the genre’s global recognition.
Expressing gratitude to influential figures and media houses, Ogungbe acknowledged the role of Junior and Pretty, Remedies, Platashun Boyz, Ray Power FM, AIT, and BEN TV in London. He extended congratulations to Nigerians for solidifying Afrobeats as a globally recognized genre and wished success for the next generation of artists.
