Ajimobi is not dead, says aide, daughter

The media aide to the former Oyo State Governor and Acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Mr Bolaji Tunji and his daughter Fatoma Ganduje-Ajimobi have denied speculations that the politician is dead.

Responding to the rumour which spread like wild fire yesterday, Tunji, the Special Adviser on Communications and Strategy to the former governor, said Mr Ajimobi, who is down on COVID-19 related sickness is not dead.

He however urged Nigerians, especially his teeming supporters and political associates to continue to pray for him.

In a very brief statement on Facebook Mr Tunji wrote: “My attention has been drawn to the rumours circulating on the social media about my principal. Kindly disregard. We however continue to pray for him. Thank you all for the show of concern.”

Also the daughter Fatima, on her official Twitter Handle @FatimaGanduje wrote: “Thank you for all the messages, but our father is still alive, alhadulillah. When it is our time we will die, so wait first…”
