Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has congratulated his Ekiti State counterpart, Dr Kayode Fayemi, on his 57th birthday.
This is contained in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde, on Wednesday in Akure.
Akeredolu described Fayemi, who is the Chairman of Nigeria Governors’ Forum, as a man of many parts, whose positive impact on the society was immeasurable.
He described Fayemi as a bridge builder and stabiliser, who has also deployed his God given brilliance and experience to raise the bar of governance in Ekiti State to an enviable height.
“Kayode, you have continued to show leadership at all fronts. As our chairman at the NGF, your leadership had been fruitful, engaging and rewarding.
“Your exploits as the NGF Chairman, have yielded fruits of national development and progress across the country. You have echoed our minds and driven our collective interests in favour of our people.
“You have served your father’s land with pride and dedication. Your role in entrenching this democracy we are nurturing cannot be forgotten in a hurry.
“You have been governor. You served as a minister before returning to serve your people in Ekiti State as a governor for a second term. You have served meritoriously.
“You exude endearing qualities which define you as a true “Omoluabi”. Your contributions to national development, nation building and humanity are valuable attributes that have distinguished you as a man of the people,” he said.
Akeredolu wished the Ekiti State governor more fruitful years ahead in good health.
