The commander of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, known as Amotekun Corps, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, has described the passing of the former governor of the state, the late Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, as an immense loss, not only to the Southwest region but to the entire country.
The special adviser on security matters to the late governor hailed Akeredolu as a bold, fearless, and courageous leader who was unwavering in his commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the Southwest.
Adeleye added that the enormous contribution made by Akeredolu through the establishment of the Amotekun Corps is unquantifiable.
According to him, Akeredolu was a man of unparalleled integrity and a relentless advocate for justice, as well as a symbol of bravery who fought tirelessly to safeguard his people.
“The late Akeredolu proved to be a special being who has written his name in gold as a man who rallied around his people in the face of adversity.
“A courageous fighter. A god-fearing statesman and an advocate for democratic principles who left when he was needed most,” he said.
