SUNRISE NEWS, Lagos, Aug 27, 2020 Nigeria’s candidate for the African Development Bank (AfDB) President Professor Akinwunmi Adesina got re-elected once again for a five year term in the early hours of Thursday.
Adesina, who has been in the eye of the storm lately by forces who wanted him out of office.
But the Nigerian government, which was the single largest shareholder in the multilateral financial institution, had thrown its weight behind Adesina, a Professor of Agriculture, having found him above board.
