The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi is dead.
The foremost paramount ruler of Yorubaland breathed his last late on Friday at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti.
He was 83, and the longest reigning monarch of the ancient city. He was on the throne for 52 years.
