Legendary Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson has sent a message to newly appointed manager, Erik ten Hag after the Ajax boss was confirmed as Red Devils’ next boss last week.
Ferguson urged the Dutchman to ‘get in control’ of the club once he moves to Old Trafford in the summer.
United officially confirmed last week that Erik Ten Hag will take over at Old Trafford at the end of the season.
The Ajax head coach will replace interim manager, Ralf Rangnick.
Ferguson, who won 38 major trophies during his time at the Theatre of Dreams, insists Ten Hag must immediately stamp his authority at United.
When asked about Ten Hag’s appointment, Ferguson told RTE Racing: “Well, I hope he does well because the club needs someone to get in control.
“I hope he does well, yeah.”
