Prince Idris Balogun, an All Progressives Congress House Representatives intending aspirant come 2023 general elections, piqued by the harrowing experience students in Alimosho Federal constituency go through on a daily basis to access their various schools and the negative impact it poses on qualitative education, has afforded two buses to facilitate their movements.

The royal blood notes that, the clear neglect of the poor in the society who are not really asking for too much from those holding political offices in trust for them to attend to their basic needs, get to him and that informs why he is jostling for the seat.

Prince Balogun, the Oluomo Kafata of Isheri Kingdom, made this assertion on Tuesday while officially commissioning the said buses for the use of students and pupils of the area at his constituency office within Isheri-Igando axis of Alimosho.

He said,“Some of our children  trekked 2- 3 kilometres  to school daily, how can a child who had trekked this much early in morning assimilate well in class?

“Such a child will also trek back home later in the day, this drove me to start this free school ride scheme, here we have two buses that will ply constituency 01 and 02 respectively taken our children to school and back home.

“Daily provisions have been made to fuel the buses, we have drivers, instructors for the children as well as healthcare givers to make the journey to and fro school a seamless one, also over 2000 school bags, lunch bags and 80 leaves notebooks will be distributed across secondary schools in our constituency.

“I did this specifically for the poor, given my love for them, so many are suffering and couldn’t afford three square meal daily. Although I have never taken any money from government, all I did was from my sweat.

“ I felt one need to be giving back to the society because some of the members of our party are sick but lack money for healthcare, they even lacked common five hundred naira to buy medication,  let alone having access to health facilities.

“Also we have a poverty alleviation scheme having acquired over 20 acres of land in Ogun state,  where we ventured into livestock, crop farming and more for the benefit of our people, some of the proceeds is the tuber of  yams  we have given to our people today with a little token .

“Basically to let our people know that we have plans for them and once we get to the House of Reps come 2023 more largesse will come their way.” Prince Balogun affirmed.

He also tasked government to rejig security frameworks, by given better consideration to internal security measures as residents involvement in their security has much potency than external arrangements.

In his view the traditional rulers and youths of the area can better secure the place, “bringing a northerner as DPO here will further worsen security arrangements because such won’t know the nooks and crannies of the area and as such security is compromised.”
