Nigeria’s queen of the track, Oluwatobiloba Amusan, is expected to be nominated for the World Athletics’ Women’s Athlete of the Year award.

The reigning African, Commonwealth, and World 100m hurdles champion and record holder will become the first Nigerian athlete to achieve the feat.

The nominees for the men’s and women’s Athlete of the Year will be unveiled between October 12 and 13.

Amusan has been one of the standout athletes this year.
