Barely 24 hours after a three storey building collapsed on Freeman Street, Lagos Island where about three persons were reported dead and nine others rescued alive, another building, has been reported collapsed in Ikotun area of Lagos State.
The building which is located at 312, Ijegin Road, Ikotun partially collapsed on Saturday evening with no casualties.
Before the unfortunate incident, the building which has about nine shops and 15 rooms was said to have shown signs of being distressed due to some cracks on the walls.
Also, similar distressed signs were noticed on both the pillars and decking.
It was reported that occupants of the building escaped unhurt and they have been evacuated by the Lagos State Emergency Agency (LASEMA).
The building has since been cordoned off.
LASEMA Dr. Oluwafemi Oke-Osanyintolu confirmed the incident.
