APC National Chair Lauds Akpabio on Working Relationship With Gov. Umo Eno

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress Abdullahi Ganduje has commended the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, for his good working relationship with Governor Umo Eno.

Ganduje made the commendation Saturday, December 9th, when he led Members of the APC family to the Godswill Akpabio International stadium, venue of the 61th birthday celebration.

The former Governor of Kano State said Senator Akpabio, over the years, has showed mutual working relationship with all organs of government, adding that Akpabio has remained passionate about cultivating strategic partnership with all national institutions with a view to building a nation that works for all.

He said “As the Chairman of the greatest party in Africa I have to congratulate the governor of Akwa Ibom State and Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, for their good working relationship, since their assumption of office. He has maintained a very good relationship even in the APC family.

“It shows that you are a man of integrity, a true Nigerian and a good manager of national unity, most especially the stability between the executive and members of the National Assembly.”

The APC top Chair noted that the collaboration between the governor and the Senate President has significantly boosted the economy of the state.

Further describing Akpabio as a true patriot, nation builder and lawmaker of extraordinary abilities, Ganduje prayed God’s infinite wisdom, grace, and protection, upon Mr Akpabio for a smooth sail in his political career.

Also speaking at the event, Wife of the Nigerian President and Special Guest of Honour, Senator Remi Tinubu, described the celebrant, Senator Akpabio, as an extraordinary and uncommon man.

Remi Tinubu said the event had given her the long-desired opportunity to appreciate the immense contributions of Senator Akpabio to Nigeria and Akwa Ibom State in particular.

“It is noteworthy that, during Akpabio’s days as governor, Akwa Ibom witnessed huge infrastructural renaissance, improved healthcare services and enhanced educational policy for the children of the state, including poverty alleviation programmes that transformed the lives of many. These cannot be taken for granted.

“As the Senate President, he has displayed exemplary leadership qualities, fostered unity and promoted hard work, committed to principles of democracy, accountability and good governance.”

In his opening remarks, Chairman on the occasion Prince Bassey Otu, the Cross River State Governor, admired the resilience of the Senate President for holding elective and appointive offices in politics for over twenty years and still counting.

Also speaking, the host governor, Pastor Umo Eno, said the event was a celebration of a worthy son, whom God has blessed, and called on everyone in the state to set aside ethnicity, political divide and appreciate God for blessing the state with the number three man in the federation.

Others who gave their goodwill messages at the event, took time out to eulogise the starling qualities of the former Governor Akpabio, with a unanimous affirmation of his uncommon Grace.

The well attended event, had both homegrown and National artists who trilled attendees with soul lifting and angelic renditions, cultural dance, among others.
