APC National Secretary: Youths drums support for DG NOA

Youths in Yobe State have drummed support for the Director-General of National Orientation Agency (NOA), Dr. Garba Abari to assume the vacant position of National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC)
The last occupier of the office, Alhaji Mai-Mala Buni, resigned after he was elected the APC gubernatorial candidate for Yobe, a position which he later won and had been sworn into office.
 Speaking to journalists in Damaturu on Monday, the youths under the Coalition of All Progressives Congress (APC) Support Youths Group in Yobe State, urged the party national body of the party to fill the vacant position with the Director-General National Orientation Agency (NOA) Dr. Garba Abari, who is an indigene of Yobe State.
The leader of the coalition, Alhaji Abdullahi Mohammed, said that, since the Zone A” produce a governor, Hon Mai Mala, while Zone C” senatorial district have the Senate President, Dr. Ahmed Lawan, it would be fair to allow Yobe South (Zone B) to produce the national secretary of the party, a position which seems to have been zoned to Yobe state.
He said it would be unfair to Yobe South for the position of the national secretary to go to one of the other two zones.
 He described Dr. Garba Abari as the right choice to be the APC National Secretary “since the slot has been allocated to Yobe State to produce.”
He claimed that Dr. Garba has all the qualifications and experience to become the National Secretary of the APC, his contributions to the party are immeasurable, he is trust worthy and can never compromise the integrity of the APC, he has capacity to keep the party intact.
He expressed worry over the non-inclusion of Yobe South in APC political arrangement, stressing that the. party’s National Secretary should be a man of principle in order to sustain the weight of the party ahead of 2023 General Elections.
He said: “Let me tell you the truth, Dr. Garba is ahead of his contemporaries in all ramifications, he’s a man of honour and integrity, hardworking and peacefully disposition.
” We need him because of his concern, commitment, dedication to the success of the party, we feel that he can continue from where Governor Maimala Buni ended, we have began consultations with critical stakeholders across all spectrum, seeking advises and blessings on our mission.”
He also urged Yobe state governor, Hon. Mai-Mala Buni to support their endorsement for Dr. Garba Abari to fill the vacant position of the national secretary of APC.
