The BABA FOR ALL Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu/ Kashim Shettima campaign group Director General Hon. Sani Jaji and other stakeholders in the Arewa communities have officially declared that what Nigeria needs now more than ever is a unifier and detribalized Nigerian- Asiwaju to hold the reins of power as the next President.
This forms the thrust of discourse at the rally held at the Ifako-Ijaiye Mini stadium on Sunday to officially endorse the duo for the task ahead.
The Tinubu/Shettima presidency bid received a boost as the Southwest Arewa Community played host to their northern brothers, who converged in Lagos to assert their unflinching support for the APC’s presidential candidate and his vice.
Hon Sani Jaji who doubles as APC candidate for House of Representatives in Zamfara state harped on the basis why he feels only Tinubu has the needed competence to run Nigeria now, citing Lagos as an antecedent.
“We are in Southwest for the endorsement of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, this is a gathering where you can see all the leaders from northern extractions present.
“Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is from the south but looking at those seated here you will know that he is a Leader for all, from his antecedents in Lagos State by extension some other parts of the Southwest, you could see that he is a leader to reckon with.
All we are after is we need a united Nigeria and to achieve this we need a detribalized leader whose leadership will cut across religious, ethnic and other sentiments.
“During the primary election leaders from the northern extraction came together to say they want the power to go to the south and that there is no other detribalized person other than Asiwaju.
“Our rally here sends a clear message that we want a candidate who believes in one Nigeria , a candidate whose antecedents breeds unity.
“A candidate who believes in empathy, who believes in transforming Nigeria’s economy, who believe in security and ensuring continuity in the system.
“So we have no other person than Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and we all rally round him to ensure he gets there.
The Lagos State Arewa Community Chairman who is also a Coordinator of South West Arewa Community , Engr Sa’adu Yusuf Dandare Gulma who played host to the visiting leaders flanked the DG of the group who officially commissioned the branded campaign vehicles.
He later distributed the vehicles to Arewa Community in Osun , Ekiti , Oyo , Ogun and Lagos state branch of the community.
Engr. Sa’adu however note that much trust need be reposed in Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu whom he said remains a true Nigerian, whose presidency will bring prosperity more than what we can imagine.
He tasked electorates to ensure they collect their PVC and vote enmasse for APC candidates wherever they are, because Asiwaju’s presidency according to him will retool Nigeria and make it a success story.
For Alhaji Shehu Usman Chairman Mile 12 international market, it is not yet campaign per se but an appreciation rally for Tinubu, whom he claimed made Lagos a place of comfort for them coupled with his interventions in the northern part of the country.
“We have come to appreciate him for all he has done for us in the north and south, it is not yet campaign, we are targeting roughly 5million in Lagos state alone.
“In other states maybe Ogun and Oyo we will get 3million each, because we have a lot of Hausas living in the south.
“Every body should remain calm and get ready their PVC because election is not about talk, it is about PVC and I can tell you our people have their PVC that will bring Asiwaju in as President.”
Chairman of the Shukurah Yam Market in Mile 12 Alhaji Dandama Yabo, and other dignitaries from the northern flank were also present.
