Army condoles family of those killed in accident with van

Army authorities have sent a condolence message to the families of those killed in a tryclycle involved in an accident involved with an Army patrol van.

In the accident, a student and a toddler were killed in Damaturu.

The condolence was contained in a press statement signed by the Deputy Director Army Public relations Sector 2 Operation Lafiya Dole, Captain Njoka Iragbor.

The statement said the Acting Commander Sector 2 Operation Lafiya Dole, Brigadier General Ibrahim Ali has condoled with the family of the victims of Army patrol van accident involving a tricycle which led to the death of a female student and a toddler last Saturday in Damaturu the Yobe state Capital.

The statement said the Acting Commander described the incident as highly regrettable, revealing that the sector has since constituted an inquiry board to investigate the cause of the accident for appropriate measure and action.

Ali further prayed for quick recovery for those injured in the accident.

The Yobe state Governor, Alhaji Mai-Mala Buni had during his condolence visit to the family of the deceased has ordered for investigation into the incident.
