Atiku, Nigerians mourn death of comic legend, Baba Suwe

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has mourned the death of Nigerian Comic legend, Babatunde Omidina, popularly known as Baba Suwe.

The legendary actor passed away on Monday after a long battle with an illness.

Baba Suwe was born on August 22, 1958 and was married to comedienne Omoladun Omidina, who died in September 2009.

He dominated the Yoruba movie industry for decades, featured in several movies and bagged many awards.

Atiku mourning the actor thanked him for bringing joy into most Nigerian homes.

His tweet read: “ Babatunde Omidina, aka Baba Suwe, thank you so very much for bringing so much happiness and joy into our homes. May your soul rest in peace.”
