Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Wednesday offered scholarships to indigent pupils at his alma materin Jada, Adamawa State.
Atiku’s Special Assistant (Broadcast Media), AbdulRasheed Shehu, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists.
Shehu said as part of events lined up for his 77th birthday, Atiku on Wednesday returned to Central Primary School Jada where he first enrolled in 1954 and had rebuilt years later during his philanthropic projects.
Addressing the pupils, the Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate thanked God for the blessings that enabled him to succeed despite his poor background.
