The Nigeria Auto Journalists Association (NAJA), the umbrella body of journalists covering the automotive sector, has appointed its Vice Chairman, Tajudeen Adebanjo as Acting Chairman.
The appointment followed the suspension, last Friday, of the chairman, Mike Ochonma.
According to NAJA, Ochonma was suspended over sundry allegations including colluding with others to form a parallel association.
NAJA has set up a three-man committee to investigate all allegations against the suspended Chairman.
Meanwhile, the association has advised automotive stakeholders and the general public to disregard a fake report making the rounds about the purported suspension of the Vice Chairman, adding that “the false report was the handiwork of mischief makers working against the interest of NAJA”.
The Acting Chairman therefore, assured stakeholders in the sector that all hands would be on deck to restore confidence in NAJA to enable it add immense value to the nation’s automotive industry.
