Alhaji Abiodun Ejigbadero a stakeholder in the All Progressives Congress (APC) Alimosho, has faulted the leadership style of Alhaji Abudullahi Enilolobo, citing his greed for political benefits.
In a recent chat with newsmen in his office the young but vibrant and forward looking Ejigbadero, critique the sad turn of events in Alimosho polity which he unequivocally said started with the emergence of Enilolobo.
In his words: “The problem in Alimosho is bad leadership, the area remains as blessed as it used to be, until when bad leadership takes control of everything.
Alimosho is now a case of a father with five children, that favours one above the remaining four.
“When the accruable benefits of aggregates of political efforts are not well spread for the good of all,and the leader wants to be leader for live.
I don’t know if APC is their personal belonging. When only one person wants to be everything there is always a problem.
“Until we realized the need for changes, where roles are evenly distributed, when in government you ought to empower people, lift many out of poverty. That is what Alimosho politics used to be, it is more communal in focus not what we have now.
“I used to be close to the cabals and I know their plan is not for good of all, ensuring the interest of others are protected brought me into politics that was why I left them, I am not ready for any position so I chose not to follow their path but to live and let others live.
“Alimosho polity changed for the worse after Enilolobo emergence, our votes reduced drastically imagine he promised to deliver 500,000 votes to our sitting Governor but those were mere words for pecuniary gains, he could not do it eventually, he is a liar.
“That is his way of life, he use lies to build his empire and such collapses at the end of the day,as it is now visible for all to see.
“Most of our party members wallow in penury, they suppose to come out and protest for their, but they cannot because here we have a semblance of a military kind of government. People cannot say their minds, they get harassed and threatened, he dictate what he want.
“Only one person arrogating all benefits to self at all times,he only leverage on others effort to make gains, he seldom goes out and whenever he does he barks out orders to Local Chairmen whom are his lackeys anyway.
“Our leadership have failed, Enilobo heads G18, others follow him like dummies. They are doing Alimosho polity like their personal business, just like what obtains in a slave camp, imagine the kind of political reckoning we had amongst other areas prior to their coming.
“Now we are being ridiculed, we only get the left overs when political considerations is alloted, just due to their greed this must not continue.
“Life is all about opportunity and that you are opportune does not mean you are better, you should take all benefits to yourself alone rather let it go round.
While facing issues here all alone, Enilolobo ran to Magodo, I loss two of my brothers and spent millions to sort things out. I am born here and have my interest in seeing to the welfare of my people.
They have tried to negotiate for me to back down on the struggle for the emancipation of Alimosho people, but I refused to align with them seeing they failed to help people thrive.
They are liars, killers and anything you can think of because their lives depend on politics, I don’t need anything from them.
We are not asking for too much, at least fair share with consideration of representation for everybody.
There is an expiration date for everything so don’t take charge of everything allow others survive. They made Alimosho a slave camp.
“That is what leadership entails to them, but they have forgotten that change is constant.” Said Ejigbadero.
On the upcoming Local Government election Ejigbadero urge aspirants to come out and express their interest, to test their popularity when the time comes.
He counseled that imposition should be avoided and a level playing field should be allowed, “our own is ‘oga sope’ in Alimosho, Enilolobo always use Aregbesola’s name to commit political crime and it should be avoided.”
