Ebuka said that there were a lot of other Shine Ya Eye Housemates who played strategic games, but he could mention only two of them he’s very sure of.
Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, in an interview with Beat FM Lagos, listed the two Shine Ya Eye Housemates he believed went into the House with a strategy in mind, even though there were so many other Housemates who were strategic.
He mentioned Whitemoney and Angel. And on Whitemoney, Ebuka said that it really worked out for him, going by the fact he came out of the Big Brother House as winner.
Ebuka added that he doesn’t believe cooking was Whitemoney’s main strategy, adding that his strategy was, how he presented himself as top adviser to co-Housemates. Whitemoney literally made Housemates to always come to him for advice, like the shoulder other Housemates could lean on.
For Angel, Ebuka stated that she was always very cautious of cameras, which got viewers wondering what could always be in her mind.
Ebuka added that each time Angel looks at the camera, there’s that instinct that makes her think about herself being on TV, so, she would have to be cautious of what she does at that moment.
So, probably, Whitemoney and Angel, according to Ebuka, played most strategic game which helped them at some point in the show.
He said, “I think there were a couple of them, who came in with that.
“You can’t discount Whitemoney, and I had to give him that because he won. And he said a lot of it wasn’t a strategy, but at the same time, I mean, it was his fourth time trying out. And you have to give him credit for it working.
“I don’t know if the kitchen part was a strategy, and I think a lot of how he carried himself in the House. He wanted to be the guy who advises a lot, he told people to beware of certain things.
“So, he was like the shoulder to other Housemates. Like the ally. And I think, that worked out for him eventually, because a lot of people just like him in the House. So, he never really come up for eviction. And the viewers also bought into that overtime. And he got the money. So, Whitemoney definitely.
“And Angel. I think Angel was very sure of the fact that she was on TV alot. But it was played naturally enough to not be noticed too much.
“So, the viewers called out so many times. They caught her looking at the camera so much times. When you see someone looking at the camera so many times, you start wondering, are you doing this for that?
“But she was also so entertaining. She was one of my favorite Housemates. Inspite of that, I really really liked her. So, I think, she was very aware. And a lot of them were. A lot of them were doing things that just look like, ‘mmmh! would you not react in real life if this happened.’ You know, things would happen and they would walk away. And then, go to a safe place and complain about it, as against confronting.
“I was glad it was our first season without disqualification. And it was also because people avoided a lot of things.”
