As the curtain falls on the maiden edition of Africa’s biggest reality television show known as the Big Brother Titans (BBTitans) tagged “Ziyakhala Wahala” on Sunday, April 2, the biggest question on the continent is who goes home with the biggest prize on the continent – Nigeria or South Africa?
Viewers from all over Africa has had 72 days of solid fun as housemates came up with contents that kept many glued to their television sets since the show started on January 15, 2023.
From 24 housemates, the show rolled into the final week with six finalists. The first season’s finalists will see Nigeria’s strong woman, Yvonne, and two men –Ebubu, and Kananga Jnr, battle for the ultimate title prize money of $100,000 against all female South Africa’s finalists of Tsatsii, Khosi, and Ipeleng.
The BBTitans show has paraded unique individuals from Nigeria and South Africa, some of which have left a lasting impression on fans. The finalists have demonstrated skill and tact during the show, but only one person will win the ultimate prize. Which housemate will be crowned the ultimate Titan? As our reader, you can make your pick from the list of six finalists.
Ebubu
Ebubu’s entrance into the house, was met with applause from fans of the show, more especially because it was the first time an albino would be seen climbing such a big entertainment stage.
But Ebubu is more than your usual albino. He is perhaps the biggest surprise of the Big Brother Titans show and it was so that it happened to be the maiden edition.
The Nigerian actor and model showed all through the 72 days fun-soaked show that he is dynamic personality and street sense. His calm nature, resilience, and determination are evident in his actions. He is perhaps the only housemate who escaped nominations for all evictions and catwalked into the finals right from the eighth week.
Ebubu also broke some records. He won the Head of House game twice, and enjoyed the Head of House fabulous room. His stay in the house has been peaceful, with no drama or controversy attached to him. Ipeleng was his vehicle to the finals, but Sunrise News think he would have gotten to the finals regardless. Ebubu seems to have a divine touch and Sunrise News would be excited to see if Ebubu has what it takes to emerge as the ultimate Titan on Sunday. His luck, this time rests on his fans.
Yvonne
The beautiful digital content creator, model, and reality TV personality is the last Nigerian lady standing. She describes herself as resilient, competitive, energetic, fearless, and made for a soft life. Yvonne never won in the Head of House game, but she has a strong personality and fanbase, which ensured she evaded all evictions. The outcome of the season finale will reveal if she has enough fans to take her to the top. She got entangled with one of the housemates Juicy Jay and it would be interesting if his fans would pitch their tent with her on Sunday night. But Yvonne who came back into the show after JJ’s eviction has left no one in doubt that she is strongly contending for the money. Infact she told Big Brother in one of her diary sessions that she has a special cloth she would love to wear for the great day. What a lady! She gave viewers Gold card contents this season.
Kananga Jnr
The second Nigerian male and third finalist is a 23-year-old actor and model who is loved in the Big Brother House for his boyish charm and sensitivity. His ‘ship’ with Tsatsii and his attraction to older women has been the talk of fans all over social media. Kanaga Jnr won the Head of House title once. He has shown that he is calm and perceptive. He is a strategist but he appeared all tensed up during the quarter stage last Sunday and could be seen going on his knees after he scaled through the last eviction. Getting to the last six was so big for Kananga Jnr, but his emergence as one of the finalists is not surprising to Sunrise News. We hope he has enough fanbase to get him the ultimate prize of 100,000 dollars on Sunday night.
Tsatsii
Kananga Jnr’s love item, Tsatsii is the South African definition of beauty and brains in this season’s competition. Her actions in the house show she is more than a pretty face. She is juggling three science related study work at the same time and you will wonder where she had the time for the soft side of life that Big Brother platform offered. Maybe that is what draws for her a huge fan base that has seen her as a favorite for the big prize on Sunday.
Tsatsii was paired with Ebubu, and both won the head of House twice. That she made it to the finals even after the dissolution of the pair system showed that she could have made it to the finals on her own. She has a good chance of becoming the winner of the first Big Brother Titan show.
Khosi
This South African beauty and brains is adventurous. But Khosi is not only adventurous, she is open-minded, self-aware, and talker. She is a good conversationist who likes her love item to come open with her at all times on all issues. Her relationship with housemate Yemi Cregx and later Thabang drove most of the conversation about her on social media.
But she also showed that she is not all about controversy when she won the very last Head of House game along with Ipeleng. She would go into history books as the lady who won the very last most coveted prize in the house this season – HOH Games and slept in the luxury HOH bed. Khosi has been consistent in giving premium content on the show this season and oing by that alone, she may just take a bow and walk away with the prize money. Sunrise News would be eager to see how she fared in the finale but whichever way it goes, King Khosi has carved a place for herself on the continent and lovers of solid entertainment would sure be seeing more of her soon. One of the places Khosi wants to visit is Nigeria and just maybe, Yemi Cregx her love item, and his fans may just make the finale a walk over for her.
Ipeleng
Beautiful, shy, Ipeleng a Law student, has blossomed right before our eyes in the last 71 days into a bolder, more assertive young lady. She shocked fans when she gave Ebubu a one-way ticket to the grand finale with the supreme veto power that was part of the pecks of winning the Head of House game at week eight, on March 6. But that decision for Tsatsii and Miracle OP, was the best. Ipeleng has been consistent throughout the show, and even though she may not be the strongest contender for the ultimate prize, she has a chance with the aid of her fans.
