The priest in charge of the Church of Nativity, Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus Christ, William Ghattas, lit a candle in honour of the late Nigerian Pastor, Prophet Temitope Joshua, even as the his church, Synagogue Church of All Nations(SCOAN) prepares to lay his body to rest with a week-long activities starting from July 5, 2021.
Since his demise, Prophet Joshua’s passing official Facebook page of the ministry increased by 500,000 followers, making a total of 6.1 million. More than 1 million online tributes from across the world honour the man who touched every level of society.
All across the world, from Bethlehem to Russia to Pakistan, candlelight vigils were held in his honour.
William Ghattas, in charge of the Church of the Nativity, Bethlehem lit a candle in the historic grotto of the Church to pray for his soul to rest in peace.
An official statement from SCOAN also revealed that the remains of the Prophet will be laid to rest during a week long activities beginning from July 5, and ending on July 11.
“On Saturday June 5, 2021, Prophet TB Joshua was taken home to be with the Lord;
We are currently preparing for the week-long service from 5th to 11th July 2021 in honour of Prophet TB Joshua’s life and legacy, which will be broadcast live on Emmanuel TV. He will be laid to rest at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) in Lagos, Nigeria; the specific events within the week that will be open to the public will be communicated at the appropriate time.
We want to assure you that nothing will stop the work of God at The SCOAN from moving on. As Prophet TB Joshua says, “When we close our eyes to all things in this world, we shall open them in a world of glory.”
