The Appeal Court, sitting in Lagos, on Friday affirmed Prince Dapo Abiodun as the duly elected Governor of Ogun State.
The verdict, which upheld the earlier judgment delivered by the Governorship Election petition tribunal had sealed any hope by Ladi Adebutu, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the March 15, 2023 governorship election to upturn the victory of Prince Dapo Abiodun as the validly elected governor of Ogun State. Adebutu who scored 252,383 is contesting the result of the governor who had polled 276,298 to clinch victory at the election.
