A Fufu seller on Sunday evening, in a rage of anger, was said to have stabbed a man who came to buy Fufu, a local Cassava pudding on the neck, killing him instantly.
The incident, according to an eye witness happened at about 10pm, at Reverend Ogundele Street, Isale Aruna, off College Road, in Ifako-Ijaiye local government area of Lagos State. The man had approached the woman to buy Fufu, for dinner. Dispute broke out between the two of them over a N30 change.
The man was said to have bought some wraps of Fufu and was expecting to collect N30 change. While the woman insisted he had no change to collect.
An eye witness told Sunrise News that the dispute developed into a row and the woman, rushed into her room and came out brandishing a knife and was threatening to kill the man.
“The next thing we saw was the woman rushing into her room and rushed out with a knife, and was shouting, I will kill you, I will kill you and before anybody could know what is happening, she rushed at the man and stabbed the man on the neck. What we saw next was that blood was gushing out from the man’s neck and he slumped instantly. He was confirmed dead when he was rushed to an hospital,” the witness said.
He said the Police was invited by the woman’s neighbours and she was immediately arrested and taken away by the Police.
When contacted on his WhatsApp Number, the Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), said he is yet to be briefed of the incident, but told our correspondent he would find out and revert to Sunrise News.
