The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has presented certificate of return to Osun State Governor-elect Mr. Ademola Adeleke.
This came hours after a Nigerian Hip-hop star, David Adeleke, (aka Davido) complained about the delay in issuance of the certificate.
Sunrise.ng recall that INEC had on Sunday declared Adeleke the winner of the governorship election in the state.
The Returning Officer for the election and Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, said Adeleke Polled a total of 403,371 votes to beat the incumbent APC governor, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola who got 375,027 votes and 13 other candidates in the keenly contested race.
Oyetola won in 13 local government areas of the state to come second in the election.
