At exactly 11.05am on Thursday, Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari presented the 2021 fiscal budget before the members of the National Assembly at a joint session.
Buhari, was accompanied to the National Assembly by the Vice President Prof Yemi Osinbajo, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, the Chief of Staff to the President Prof Ibrahim Gambari and members of the cabinet.
The President was received by top management of the National Assembly led by the Senate President Senator Ahmed Lawan, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.
Welcoming the President, the Senate President assured that the National Assembly will pass the budget before the end of year.
Lawan said the ravaging COVID-19 had a deleterious impact on global economy, even as he charged that the 2021 budget consolidates on the gains of the 2020 budget.
