Breaking! Police barricades CDHR Headquarters in Lagos

The Lagos Police Command has barricaded the Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja, Lagos National Headquarters of the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights, a major human rights organisation in Nigeria.

CDHR, is one of the activist groups that participated in the ongoing 10-day #EndBadGovernance protests against the anti-peoples policies of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration.

Youths on the aegis of the CDHR, have set aside Friday aside as the #MourningDay, signaling the end of a three days of mourning of all victims of Nigerians who died in the ongoing protest which formally ends tomorrow, Saturday, August 10, 2024.

The Lagos Police Command according to eye witnesses cordoned off the CDHR National Headquarters, venue of the programme to prevent youths making use of the venue.

Sunrise News gathered that the youths are making arrangements to gather at another alternative location to mourn the fallen heroes who met their untimely death in their encounters with security operatives across the country.
