The second batch of Nigerians from Ukraine have arrived the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Friday evening.
They arrived from Warsaw, Poland at about 6:30pm on Friday.
Their arrival was confirmed by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM).
NIDCOM on its twitter handle said: “BREAKING NEWS 2ND BATCH OF EVACUATION: The Second batch of Nigerians from #Ukraine arrive Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport Abuja at about 6:30 local time from Warsaw, Poland. 04/03/2022.”
The first batch arrived on Friday morning from Romania where they fled to when the Ukraine war escalated.
The first batch comprises 416 evacuees, according to NIDCOM Chairman, Abike Dabiri-Erewa,
She said two more batches were still expected to arrive the country today.
With the arrival from Poland, the their batch from Hungary is still being expected.
