  • Senegalese Talisman Sergio Mane wins cup for Teranga Lions of Senegal

After a barren two hours football artistry which was hallmarked by serial misses of shot at goals, Sergio Mane, the workhorse of Senegal took his side, the Teranga Lions of Senegal to win the Cup of Nations tournament which came to an epic end on Sunday night.

The Senegalese team beat Mohammed Salah led Pharaphs of Egypt on penalty shootout with a 5-3 goal.The Egyptian keeper, however was unanimously picked as the man of the match, saving the rampaging Senegalese team from setting the game at record time until it dragged into extra time and finally settled on penalty shootout.

A visibly pained Salah was caught on camera weeping, as he had to accept a second place for the Pharaohs of Egypt.
