President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed hope that he would bequeath to Nigerians a free and fair general elections in Nigeria in 2023.
President Buhari stated this in his last Independence Anniversary Speech to Nigerians on Saturday.
He said he would continue to work to make Nigeria safe for all, even as his administration coasts home.
He expressed the desire to see more women and youths participate in the forthcoming electoral cycle, even as he called on all political actors to play by the rules, make the election issue based and avoid anything that could destroy the unity of the nation.
He said he is prepared to leave a free, fair and transparent election where votes of Nigerians would count.
