Buhari, Osinbajo receive COVID-19 vaccine shot

President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo (SAN), have just received their COVID-19 vaccine jab at the Old Banquet Hall of the State House in Abuja.

The President was injected with the vaccine by his Chief Personal Physician, Dr Shuaib Rafindadi Sanusi, while the Vice President was injected by his physician, Dr Nicholas Odifre.

The brief ceremony had in attendance the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Mr Boss Mustapha; Minister of Health Dr Osagie Ehanire; Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed; and the Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari.

The inoculation of the President and the Vice President is to drum support for the vaccination by Nigerians.

About four millon doses is expected to be administered in the first phase of this exercise, while the government expect deliveries of the vaccine from the World Health Organisation and its global partners.
