In a grand ceremony during the Annual Owuye/Looke Eepe Day celebration, the Fasunle Makinde Media Practitioner Network bestowed its Outstanding Contribution Award upon Comrade Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo for his exceptional dedication to the development of the network.
The prestigious award, presented on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Shimawa, recognized Ajadi’s remarkable contributions to the Fasunle Makinde Media Practitioner Network.
The network, renowned for its popular radio program, Owuye/Looke Eepe, broadcast on Fresh FM in Lagos and Ibadan, acknowledged Ajadi’s pivotal role in advancing its objectives.
Beyond his media endeavors, Comrade Ajadi is a prominent figure in Nigerian politics, having contested the governorship in Ogun State with the New Nigeria People’s Party in the recent general election.
His enduring impact extends beyond politics, encompassing a commitment to improved governance, extensive charitable work, and success as a business mogul.
Expressing gratitude for the honor, Ajadi commended Mr. Makinde, the Director of the Owuye/Looke Eepe radio program, for providing a platform for young media practitioners to showcase their talents. He highlighted the educational, entertaining, and informative nature of Makinde’s media network programs.
Ajadi stated, “Even if you are vocal, worthy, or known in society, it still takes some people to recognize you and let society know who you are. I commend your effort for the special recognition you have endowed on me.”
Ajadi, moreover, expressed optimism for the nation’s development, offering a prayer that Fasunle Makinde’s foresight would continue to guide them toward a brighter future for Nigeria.
“I have seen you as somebody who has seen our desired development for the nation and you are someone who has seen what is coming for us in the nearest future, I pray that when we are celebrating the New Nigeria, you will not diminish,” he said.
During the award presentation, Mr. Fasunle Makinde emphasized Ajadi’s worthiness for the accolade, citing philanthropic and humanitarian deeds as contributing factors.
“Philanthropic and other humanitarian deeds are part of the reason behind the award,” he said.
The Fasunle Makinde’s media crew chose to present the award at Ajadi’s office in Shimawa, creating a moment witnessed by notable personalities, including the Public Relations Officer (PRO) to the NNPP Ogun State Chapter, Comrade Olowu Olayemi Omokehinde, Comrade Ibrahim Shuaib, Hon.
