Council Chief assures CDC exco of support, looks forward to sterling performance

The Chairman, Ifako-Ijaiye Council Area of Lagos State, Apostle Oloruntoba Oke, on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 has assured the 17-member newly inaugurated Community Development Committee (CDC) of his full support in the performance of their responsibilities as grassroots leaders.

He said it is only with government’s support, that the CDC will command sterling performance.

Oke made this known while playing host to the CDC officials in his Aina-Ajobo, office, Ogba.

The new CDC Chairman, Pastor Samuel Olu Opajobi, while appreciating God for the life of the chairman that ensured his return to office after ‘a brief vacation’, pledged his team’s total and unalloyed cooperation and sacrifice to encourage CDA’s and residents in the council area to live up to their civic responsibilities to the government in paying their levies and rates, as and when due.

Opajobi, demands more interventions in the areas of infrastructure and projects across the council area, in reciprocity for stakeholders’ cooperation and support of the programme of the government.

Oke, while welcoming the new CDC Exco, stated that “things will begin to change positively in the coming days, urging full cooperation in the task of monitoring and nation building”.

He, applauded the efforts of the various groups that made up the CDC Exco. While also  acknowledging that “they are partners in progress, the chairman, charged them “to be more committed and adhere to the highest trust to justify the confidence reposed in them by their communities as the fourth-tier of government,  assuring that his administration would do everything to support their cause to have a successful tenure”, he stated.

Among those that present at the occasion are: Chairman, Internally Generated Revenue, Hon. Babatunde Jokotoye; Supervisor for Agriculture and Rural Development, Hon. Femi Afikuyomi; CDC  Treasurer, Engr. Lawal and Elder Osude.
