Council chief restates commitment to infrastructure upgrade

As part of efforts by the Apostle Oloruntoba Oke-led administration to take governance to the grassroots in Ifako ijaiye, the local government chief and his team, on Monday, October 28, paid a working visit to Londoner/Onibata area, with a view to alleviating the plight of the residents through road rehabilitation.

Oke, who was accompanied on the visit by the Vice chairman, Usman Hamzat, the Supervisor for Works &Infrastructure, Chief Shola Ajibose, representative of the council Engineer, Engr. Oyebola, and his media team, was received by community leaders and residents led by Mr Jude Ndoh.

The council chief while urging residents to exercise patience with the government gave the assurance that work will begin on the road as soon as the rains abate. He said Londoner Street, will be graded and compacted to make it motorable for residents.

He further indicated his administration’s readiness to facilitate the dredging of the canal between Kayode Street and Londoner communities, adding that a pedestrian steel bridge would also be constructed to link them to enable residents of Londoner access the Primary Health Care Centre (PHC) for their health needs and their children to enjoy  public primary schools facilities in Kayode community.
