Twenty-three vehicles conveying 281 passengers have been impounded for violating the Lock-Down order by the Niger state government.
This arrest was made on the first day of the 24-hour total lockdown in the state.
The Chairman of the security committee and Niger state Commissioner of Police disclosed this to newsmen in Minna after leading members to monitor the level of compliance of the directive in Minna.

According to him, the impounded items include two trailers, fifteen buses, and six vehicles.
Four Keke Napeps and two motorcycles were also impounded on Monday for flouting the Lock-Down order.
The Commissioner of Police stated that the impounded vehicles, tricycles and motorcycles are currently stationed at Maitumbi and B Division police stations.
Usman expressed satisfaction on the level of compliance by Nigerlites on the stay at home order and subsequent lockdown of the state.
The Commissioner of Police then spoke of plans by the committee to provide the four entry/exit points of Bida, Suleja, Kontagora, and Gwada roads with concrete barriers to reduce the influx of people and vehicles to Niger state
