About 384 Nigerians who returned to the country on Thursday from Saudi Arabia will be quarantined at the Federal Capital Territory Hajj camp.
The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) stated that they would self-isolate at the camp for a period of 14 days in observance of the covid-19 health protocols outlined by the federal government.
They came into the country via Saudi Air flight B773
“384 Returnees (300 Males, 83 Females and one Infant) of the 802 Stranded Nigerians in Saudi Arabia just arrive at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja via Saudi Air flight B773 at about 1:10 pm local time today 28th January 2021.
“The returnees will be quarantined at the Federal Capital Territory Hajj camp for 14 days in line with the reversed COVID-19 protocols by the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19,” NIDCOM tweeted.
Reacting to the development, NIDCOM’s Chairperson, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, said that the returnees were stranded in Saudi but added that the government came to their rescue.
“As promised, the Federal Govt has brought back stranded Nigerians from SaudiArabia…,” she tweeted.
