SUNRISE NEWS, Lagos, Aug 30, 2020 Nigeria on Saturday discovered 250 new COVID-19 infections, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) stated on Saturday.
The infectious diseases agency which posted this on its website on Saturday claimed that the new cases were harvested from 20 of the 36 states of the federation.
According to the NCDC, no death was recorded in any of the states for COVID-19 related complications yesterday.
“On the 29th of August 2020, 250 new confirmed cases and 0 deaths were recorded in Nigeria,” the NCDC post stated.
Till date, Nigeria has recorded 53,727 cases, out of which 41,314 cases have been discharged, while the number of deaths has remained 1011, recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
Saturday’s new 250 new cases are reported from 20 states- Plateau (69), FCT (41), Lagos (21), Delta (14), Kaduna (14), Bayelsa (13), Enugu (13), Ekiti (11), Bauchi (9), Ogun (8), Edo (7), Oyo (7), Rivers (6), Adamawa (4), Osun (4), Nasarawa (3), Ebonyi (2), Kwara (2), Gombe (1), Imo (1).
