Nigeria recorded 133 new COVID-19 caseload on Sunday, taking the total cases prevalent in the country to 61, 440, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has said.
A breakdown of the infections posted on its website showed that two COVID-19 related deaths was also recorded on Sunday.
Only nine states out of the 36 states posted the figure on Sunday, with Lagos retaining its leading position with 90 new cases, while Rivers posted 13 and FCT eight.
According to the breakdown, out of the 61, 440 confirmed cases, 56611 cases have been discharged and 1125 deaths have been recorded across the country.
The 133 new cases are reported from 9 states- Lagos (90), Rivers (13), FCT (8), Kaduna (8), Oyo (6), Ondo (3), Katsina (2), Nasarawa (2), Plateau (1)
