COVID-19: Police Affairs Minister goes into isolation

SUNRISE NEWS, Abuja, July 20, 2020 Minister of Police Affairs, Muhammad Dingyadi, has gone into isolation, a top official of the Ministry said on Tuesday.

Dingyadi had met with Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, who declared on his Twitter handle that he was positive, last week. 

However the source said Dingyadi has tested negative for COVID-19.

“The Minister met with Onyema and former Sokoto State Governor, Aliyu Wammako, but they observed social distancing and all wore masks the entire period. Nevertheless, the Minister has undergone COVID-19 test and the result came out negative. I can confirm to you that Minister is negative,” the source said.

It was gathered that the Minister had however gone into isolation just to be cautious and in compliance with the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) guidelines.
