As part of measures to prevent the spread of Coronavirus, students of Yaba College Of Technology (YABATECH), Yaba, Lagos State, have been told to stay at home.
An internal memo from the office of the college Registrar, Dr. S.O. Momodu, on Friday, said the closure was in compliance with directives from the Federal Government.
The FG had on Thursday ordered all tertiary institutions and unity schools to shut down in order to curtail the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
“All students of the Polytechnic have been directed to proceed on a break, and those in the school halls of residence have been asked to vacate their hostels and go home.
According to him, management of the polytechnic has directed all students to stay at home for a month.
Both staff and students are advised to take necessary precautions to protect themselves from the virus.
